RDM M-101/33

Notes: This is a Dutch upgraded version of the US M-101 105mm howitzer, with a new, longer barrel to bring it up to NATO standard, and new traverse, elevating, and mounting mechanisms to provide for the longer and heavier barrel. The breech is modified to allow for the use of RAP, base bleed, and hollow base ammunition. The recoil mechanism is also modified to allow for more modern ammunition. Besides the Netherlands, this weapon is used by Canada.

RDM M-114/39

Notes: This is another conversion of the old US M-114 howitzer, re-barreled for a 39-caliber barrel, with an appropriate update in elevation, traverse, and mounting mechanisms. This modification is by the Netherlands and new guns with this configuration are also made, under the designation M-139. The jack and float assembly have also been moved forwards to accommodate the change in center of gravity. There is a pneumatic power rammer powered by an air compressor to ease loading. In addition to the Netherlands, this weapon is used by Denmark, Norway, Brazil, and Canada.
