Notes: This Spanish howitzer came into service in 1996, replacing old US-made M-114 howitzers. However, it never fully replaced those weapons. The SB 155/39 can be helicopter-slung or air dropped. The trails have castors to aid in bringing the weapon into action. The wheels are raised off the ground before firing and the weapon supported on a baseplate. The weapon has a power rammer to aid loading.
