Anya is...                                                

    More about my pet:                                

    Anya lives in my house in San Antonio, Texas, with Shadow and                

      Wolfgang.  Unlike the other two, she likes to go outside in the                      

      backyard, regardless of weather.  Probably the stray in her.  Soon after      

        we took her in, Dr. Craig at the Ingram Park Animal Hospital saved her       

        life by curing her of heartworms.

       Anya is a Whippet/Terrier that definitely  favors her Whippet 

side, but has the Terrier's personality. She was a stray when we took 

her in (in 1997), and the vet estimates that she was 1-1 1/2 years 

old at that time.                                                                                                               

Fun Facts:                                                                                                                 

--Anya is a girl, but a tomboy, and will come to anyone   offers her attention.                                               

--Around the house, Anya is generally known as Squirt (she's only 28 pounds, 

and very slim).

--Anya loves to wrestle. especially with other dogs.  It's funny watching her 

jump on Shadow (a dog nearly 5 times her size!).

--Sometimes she'll run out of the house when the front door is opened; on those 

occasions, I never catch her unless she stops to go to the bathroom.  She's too fast!
